Where is my god, take me to him
I have some questions that pain me within
Why does it hurt, why can't I feel
Did Jesus die for my right to free will
I don't want money, I don't want fame
All I want is just to die in peace
Too much to ask for and not enough to give
You let me down on my one chance to live
Smite me the fuck down on this very ground
If you don't bring back what once has been found
Too much to ask for and not enough to give
You let me down on my one chance to live
Where is your god, take me to him
I want to maim him and fuck him to death
You let me down, you caused my pain
Fuck every do-gooder praising his name
Where is my god, take me to him
I have some questions that pain me within
Why does it hurt, why can't I feel
Did Jesus die for my right to free will
I don't want money, I don't want fame
All I want is just to die in peace
I can't change this fucking state of mind
You will understand when you're left behind
And over again it revolves
The picture is never complete
Killed for what I believe in
A better life and a better home
Serves us right for hoping
We deserve nothing, you deserve nothing
Smite me the fuck down on this very ground
If you don't bring back what once has been found
Too much to ask for and not enough to give
You let me down on my one chance to live
I can't change this fucking state of mind
You will understand when you're left behind
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
